The INOV8 UV Filter is a multi-purpose all weather filter which absorbs ultraviolet rays making outdoor photographs clearer and colours more distinct. Also serves as a permanent lens protector. UV filters block the invisible UV component of light from the sky, which can cause blur and a blue cast. UV Filters are ideal for photography in high altitudes, by the sea and in regions with very clean air. Because the glass is colourless, colour rendition is not altered, aside from the elimination of the unwanted blue cast, and no increase in exposure is required. That makes a UV Filter ideal protection for the front of the lens against dust and other particles that might disrupt or reduce the clarity of the taken image and it can be also kept on the lens at all times. This Kood UV filter is made of optical glass and is multicoated. The core component in the composition of a quality filter is the type of glass used. Filters within the Kood Multicoated series incorporate optical grade glass which undergo a ground and polishing process to ensure the highest level of picture sharpness that the lens is capable of capturing. The optical glass are grounded and polished to achieve an ultra thin thickness of 1.4mm. Internal reflections are further minimized by applying a black ink coating surrounding the glass edges. Precise CNC is used to machine the ultra thin frame to achieve a ultra thin height of 3mm. This enables the filter to be lighter and also suitable for usage on wide angle lens without vignette (darken of 4 corners).
This is an excellent quality circular polarizing filters are designed to fit in front of the lens onto the screw-thread of your camera's lens. These are supplied in a plastic case for protection.
